The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed with regard to the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The services issue created for intervention encounters a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it more info hard for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to help the servicing of all prospects and boost entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
